Keyone Folding Knife is a new, incredibly beautiful and stylish work of the knife workshop N.L. Knives and the master Vadimi Shaykhitdinov. Currently, the model is presented by three prototypes: versions of Art-Titanium, Mirror, Stonewash. In the first version (Art-Titanium), the author’s knife is equipped with a blade filled to mirror shine and a handle of titanium and carbon (titanium is covered with author’s art anodization, own development of N.L. Knives, carbon – Snake Skin Cooper Carbon).
In the Mirror version, the blade of the knife is also polished, as well as the handle of titanium, carbon inserts – Snake Skin Cooper Carbon from Fat Carbon Materials.
In the Stonewash variant of the folding knife Keyone (K1) is equipped with a blade with Stonewash coating, the titanium handle has a similar coating. Carbon inserts – Black Storm Carbon by Fat Carbon Materials.
The Keyone knife blade has a Drop-Point profile close to Spear-Point (blade length 8.5 cm, 2.9 mm thick). The blade material is the premium powder steel M390, one of the best blade steels to date. On the ear of the blade almost the entire length of the face is removed facets, the handle has a section of the ear with transverse anti-slip strains at the point of the thumb. The same notles are available on the fin of the flipper. The descents are made in the full width of the blade, 0.2-0.3 mm. Given the high hardening hardness (about 62 HRC, complex thermocyclic treatment from Anton Nikolaev and Yuri Lukyanov), the knife has a fantastically clean long cut.
The handle of the K1 knife is straight, with a slight bend down and a developed front head, giving a reliable emphasis to the pointer finger. The knife is mounted on an axial node (ceramic bearings) and three screws of titanium backspey. The castle is a Liner-Lock with a stainless steel locking liner, no dies. The handle is 1.2 cm thick and the knife is equipped with a graceful titanium clip to be worn on a belt or pocket. The full length of the knife N.L. Knives Keyone – 19.8 cm. Weight – 99 g.
